Naseem joined Hunarmund as its very first artisan about 8 moths ago. Since then she has been working on sourcing Hunarmund with Organic Dye Apparel and Table Linens collection. Naseem has been trained to use Hunarmund’s vendor platform where she now herself manages her inventory and she’s loving the experience to be able to earn an easy income which is then helping her and her kids have a sustainable life.
Erum is a middle-aged woman who works as an artisan on project basis through which she manages her home and her children’s education and their living as well. She was initially working in a garment factory, however, she wanted to spend more time with her kids for which she left a good paying job and started doing small, less time consuming projects as an artisan sitting back at home to make her ends meet. She is looking for more projects so that she could become more financially stable.
Ayesha is one of the youngest artisans Hunarmund has taken on board. She loves to work on projects for embroidery, stitching and bead work. She’s very passionate about learning and being equipped for Block Print. With Hunarmund she’s hoping to be able to earn enough so that she’s able to complete her education, support her family as much as she can and also fulfills her passion for block printing.
An artisan residing in Bitshah, belongs to a less privileged socio-economic background. He has been trained by Hunarmund to get skills of block printing, enabling him and his family to become sustainable and have a good standard of living. Ghulam Abbas is now an MA in sociology and he's done a course called illustration fashion to enhance his artisans' skills. He's conducted many workshops at Indus University, Iqra University, AIFD, Textile institute of Pakistan/KU, Indus Valley Fashion, Karachi school of Art and ALMIRA - he has also worked for this brand.
